Parachutes, Inc. is a social business based in Red Hook, a lovely Brooklyn
neighborhood. We launched in 2009; we've been kickin' it since then.
What are we doing?
Parachutes.org empowers people around the world to learn and to teach what they desire, to showcase their capabilities, and to make a living doing what they love. Our goal is to make the journey of learning collaborative, social, customizable, playful and lifelong.
Why are we doing this?
Learning doesn't have to be structured by age, geographic area, or standardized curricula. Instead, we can create learning networks based on our learning styles, curiosities, and passions.
Our site is about connecting peers and mentors, encouraging open and accessible content, and making learning meaningful and fun.
